Studied classical and jazz for 16 years.  The College of Music (University of Cape Town) he studied jazz arrangements and performance.

He first performed in 1980 with the Richmond-Upon-Thames Youth band in London.

He has performed extensively with his own trio and other groups and orchestras including C.A.P.A.B., Cape Town Symphonic Orchestra and the Cape Jazz Orchestra.

He joined "Jazz Fusion Band" "Inside Out" which was resident at "The Galaxy" Cape Towns most famous Club.

In 1994 he joined "Virtual Jazz Reality" (VJR) as a founder member.

He has extensive studio experience and currently owns his own recording studio "The Nuthouse" which has produced award winning jingles and film music.
